It’s that
time of year when every species of fish is waking up and going on a feeding
spree. Just take a look at these two brilliant catches, the first taken by young
Tom Aldous whilst we created a feature for Anglers Mail (Tuesday 22nd
March). Tom managed around 25lb of quality roach plus a few carp on a day when
most would have turned away and gone home.
The other
catch was taken by Rob who had never fished the helicopter rig before and had
asked me if I could show him just how devastating it was meant to be. This is
just part of over 100lb of bream that he caught in just five hours. After lunch
he took the rig to another lake and managed a number of tench to over 7lb, and
it’s not even April yet!
