With the ground saturated, any
overnight rain, however slight will run of into the rivers and this
week, on two occasions, I have underestimated the flow. Although
tactics have been right I could have done with slightly heavier
feeders in my tackle box. These would have made fishing a few swims
on both the Loddon and Itchen easier, yet saying this, don’t go
casting a big feeder in a swim from the start as all you need is a
feeder that just holds bottom.
