The Wye Experience - Day Four

Thursday came and the forecast was for torrential rain which arrived early afternoon. My angling companion Chris had joined us and our target for the day was pike, yet after trying the town stretch of Hereford as well as an area that had produced for me last year, we failed to raise any enquiries. Even the match anglers practicing for the Wye Festival next month reported having no problems from pike and come 4pm we decided that it was just too early for pike and that we wouldn’t bother again until after a good cold spell had arrived.
